surgery, as needed.
Dr. Weiss performs the following surgeries, with operatiing room SI joint alignment provided by Vicki Sims:
1. Sacroiliac (SI) Fixation: using titanium screw IMPLANTS, WITHOUT FUSION of any kind.
2. SI FIXATION AND FUSION: using TRADITIONAL FUSION technique with bone grafting packed between the joint, WITH the
addition of cannulated titanium screw IMPLANTS.
3. SI FIXATION LEADING TO FUSION: using SI bone's iFuse IMPLANTS which have been designed to stimulate bone fusion (around
the implant.)
4. PIRIFORMIS RELEASE: For those who suffer with diagnosed Piriformis Syndrome (we offer diagnosis) we can relax
the piriformis muscle via surgery. Piriformis Release involves cutting the tendon of the piriformis muscle at the site of
insertion.
